Volunteer Information
Thank you for your interest in volunteering! We now have enough volunteers for this event. Feel free to register as a runner to support the Gregg Museum in honor of Dr. Ennis, or make a donation online through the active.com registration website!
(various) Side-line Course Directors: These enthusiastic, loud helpers will be responsible for directing runners in the right direction while on the course. Requirements include walking to the points on the 3.2 mi course BEFORE the start time. During the race, side-line directors will provide encouragement and cheer on the runners/walkers around the appropriate curves.
(4) Set Up:(FULL) Before the crowds arrive, these busy workers will be setting up the course and equipment. This will involve some heavy lifting.
(4) Bib Tag Removal: (FULL) This role requires collection of all Champion Timing chips as soon as the runner crosses the finish line
(3) Registration: (FULL - Please see other opportunities) As runners arrive, these volunteers will assist with checking-in runners, distributing bibs and safety pins, and directing people to the right places.
(2) Water Stations on the Course: (FULL - Please see other opportunities) These great people will line the course on designated spots to cheer on the runners and provide any assistance needed with water. You may be asked to walk to your place on the course.
